This BBQ place is legit. Walk up to the counter & order, then take the number to a table. They will bring the food to your table in a few minutes. The meats are smoky & tasty, high quality. The sides had a good selection & cooked perfectly. The fried pickles were excellent- hot, crispy & sour not salty. The banana pudding was on point. The only thing we didn’t like was their version of the Brunswick stew - kind thick with too much meat. We prefer it to be more soupy with vegetables. Portions were more than adequate. The service was friendly & prompt. The vibe was very casual. They have a bar as well, which we did not used. 2 thumbs up! Will definitely be back.

Only a year old and already making a name for themselves within the community: great service, food and drinks. Not only do they have a solid set menu, they also offer unique and inspired daily/weekly specials. From the jalapeño margarita (16 oz glass) and fried okra appetizers, to the smoked tri-tip sandwich and tri-tip plate with a jalepeno cheddar sausage (sides: mac and cheese, and broccoli and cheddar casserole), finished with a classic banana pudding; we cannot wait to come back. All dishes were texturally perfect, seasoned with balance, and priced very thoughtfully for the portion size. We have been looking for a go to BBQ place in Augusta, and this place is it, with intention in all they do.

I went here to celebrate my birthday and the food was absolutely amazing. I didn’t get the name of our server but she was amazing and made sure our drinks were full and we had everything we needed. I got the natty with baked beans and potato salad. I will definitely be back to get this again. The flavors of the sandwich paired so well together. The honey bbq sauce was my favorite with it.

Summary: Just go to this place. It's amazing. I usually do not leave reviews as I've never really been motivated to do so, but this place is a huge exception. I've lived in the south my entire life and been all over the world, but this small restaurant has the best brisket I have ever had. Their sauces are top notch as well. I'm excited to try pretty much everything else on the menu. I do also want to mention that our server (I unfortunately don't remember hearing her name) was incredibly kind to my daughter, who has social anxiety and was having a rough time. She was patient with her and tried her best to make her feel better. It was genuine and that made me incredibly happy.

They have their very own handpicked barrel of spirits that is definitely worth trying and a large selection of regular spirits, but these two are the favorites. The Wagyu burger that is so popular and limited to 25 a day has been moved from Thursday to Wednesdays!! The BBQ meat is very smoky and moist. The favorite though is the sides and appetizers so far... Surprises each time we visit... I see many more in our future as we work our way through the menu! Definitely worth the short ride and get there early because it fills up in the evening.... but ToGo orders are perfect for lake trips and star gazing. Management comes around and checks on everything and has service at the forefront as much as his dedication to the food and flavors!! We will definitely be back.

Just gave this place a shot and it absolutely did not disappoint. The meat was so good it needed zero sauce. Unlike other bbq places I didn’t feel like I ingested more grease than bbq. Everything was delicious, clean, zero fat & super lean. Sauces were all enjoyable.

Alright. I'll start by saying my family lives in missouri, I was stationed in texas, best friend is from memphis. I've been around the bbq block a time or two. Is this place revolutionary? No. Is it the best spot for 50 miles? There's no doubt in my mind. It's the best bar-b-que in Augusta, and it isn't even close. We got turkey, brisket, wings, collards, mac, okra, sweet potato tots, and broccoli casserole. And a mud pie. Turkey was moist, tender, and peppery. Brisket was delicious with a perfect smoke ring. Wings were the worst of the three, and if I could do it again, id probably leave em and get some pork. They were out of tri tip, but we got to try some and it was tender and delicious. Sauces were good. White was as good as anything in alabama, georgia was perfectly peppery, and the mustard was killer. Mixed the mustard, honey, vinegar, and jalapeno to make a killer blend. Collards were very good. Wish they had some heat or meat in them, but good nonetheless. Broc casserole was great. Mac and cheese was indeed cheesy. Okra was fine--Fried perfectly, but clearly not breaded in house. Sweet potato tots were tasty. Again, perfect fry. Mud pie was cool, but I wish I'd said no to drugs. Service was great too. Good management, and some very friendly and patient people at the front counter. Not sure what more you could ask for. This place is a done deal for what I've tried in Augusta. Significantly better than the rest. If you want good bbq in this city, go here.

I live in Texas, where barbecue's a religion, but Smoke & Barrels in Evans, GA was every bit as good as what you'll encounter here and I'll gladly return. I got the "small" chopped brisket plate and everything on it was delicious, from the macaroni and cheese to the cold slaw to even the spicy pickle slices used as an accoutrement. It was immediately apparent that significant time, effort, and know how goes into making barbecue this good and I'd like to thank the people who run this restaurant for making my visit so enjoyable...and delicious! Well Done!!
